Tuesday, March 26, was the night of the annual Quantum Experience hosted on campus by the OSSM Foundation. The evening started with a reception in the OSSM Senator Bernice Shedrick library and continued with dinner and a program in the Great Hall. Shelly M. Finley ’93 presented her experiences working with the University of Oklahoma’s Geostationary Carbon Cycle Observatory and also described her time working with the Amundsen-Scott South Pole station for ASC Lockheed Martin.
During the event, Dr. Fazlur Rahman was honored with the inaugural gift from the Sarkeys Foundation Endowment for Research and Teaching Excellence. Created in 2018, the fund is intended to help raise the bar of math and science education for Oklahoma students and teachers.
