Please join us for a five-day learning experience June 6-10. This fun-filled event will take place at the picturesque OSSM campus in Oklahoma City. We are proud to announce the Sarkeys Foundation and OSSM as sponsors of the summer math institute.
The institute is filled with informative lectures and demonstrations, hands-on sessions and field trips. Nationally recognized speaker and math educator, David Curlette, will be our primary speaker. Additional math educator speakers and STEM professionals will address topics relevant to middle school math curriculum and enrichment topics. We invite you to be challenged, inspired and better!
To conclude the Institute, participants will get bright ideas and bold strategies from the keynote luncheon presentation by Dr. Frank Wang, president of OSSM and a nationally renowned educator/entrepreneur/public speaker.
All participants receive a $300 stipend and a certificate of attendance. The certificate recognizes a desire to improve mathematics education in schools and also satisfies requirements for professional development.
Meals and housing (for those who wish to stay on campus) are provided. Resident check-in is Sunday, June 5 by arrangement.
*Due to limited space, participants are selected from a pool of applicants. Preference is given to applicants who have not previously attended this program. Teachers from rural areas are especially encouraged to apply.

“I just have to tell you how excited I am about this past week! When I got home, I talked nonstop for almost two hours!” M.C. – Middle School Science Teacher
