2019-20 STANDARDIZED TEST INFORMATION & DATES

The ACT Exam Schedule

The ACT Exam is offered three times a year at OSSM.  (Registration Deadlines are in parenthesis):  October 26 (September 27), February 8 (January 10), and April 4 (March 13).  The ACT is offered at OSSM as an open site on February 8 (January 10) and April 4 (March 13). The ACT is required for all OSSM juniors and seniors.  Space availability is limited for the ACT on campus (110 seats).  You are encouraged to register for your ACT exam as early as possible to avoid being placed on the “standby” list.  The student needs to register online.

The SAT Exam

The SAT Exam is offered three times a year.  (Registration Deadlines are in parenthesis): The SAT is required for all seniors and is offered in the spring on March 14 (February 7).  The SAT is is required for all juniors and is offered on December 7 (November 7).  The SAT is offered at OSSM as an open site on June 6 (May 6).  Payments are made to OSSM.  Space availability is limited for the SAT on campus (90 seats). You are encouraged to register for your SAT exam as early as possible to avoid being placed on the “standby” list.  The student needs to register online.

The PSAT Exam

The PSAT Exam is offered in the fall and is required for all OSSM juniors during the school day on the October 16 (national test date).  OSSM will enroll your student for the PSAT Exam.  There is a $16 fee that needs to be paid on or before Parents Day (September 21).

The AP Exams

The AP Exams are administered annually.  This year’s AP Exams are administered the week of May 4-8 and May 11-15.

Student sign up occurs in February.  Payments are made to OSSM.  More information will be provided to students by the school counselor.

Fee waivers are available for all exams and are based on family income criteria. Complete the waiver form and submit it to the school counselor.

The PSAT, SAT and ACT

The PSAT/SAT and ACT offer fee reductions to economically disadvantaged high school juniors or seniors. Contact the OSSM testing coordinator for details.
