On Saturday, November 23, the OSSM robotics team, the CADfish, participated in our first meet of the season at Bishop Kelley HS in Tulsa. The team placed 7th overall in the regular competition, but lost in the playoff round. During the judged competition the team took first place in the Design Award which is given to the team with the best design for all or part of their robot. We earned our award for the innovation and documentation of the “claw” the part that picked up blocks and put them in the scoring zone.
The team also placed 3rd in the Connect award, given for outreach to our community and beyond.
Dr. Underwood said “This is the best the team has ever done at the first competition of the season. I look forward to their performance at the next competition.”
