Congratulations to the OSSM TEAM+S students (Andrew, Aaron, Krish and Billy.) They placed third in the presentation category of the national TEAMS competition that was held last weekend in Louisville, KY. In February, they won the Oklahoma state championship, which allowed them to move to the national contest.

The competition hosted teams from across the United States that scored in the top 20 percent in the regional competitions.

“TEAMS has served students in STEM for more than 30 years, and OSSM has participated since the beginning,” said OSSM President Tony Cornforth. “Placing third against the best teams in the country is outstanding, and we are extremely proud of our team’s accomplishments.”

TEAMS is an annual competition to help middle and high school students discover their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) potential. Teams of two to four students apply knowledge in practical, creative ways to solve real-world engineering challenges. The competition categories include presentation, design/build, and multiple-choice exam.
