OSSM welcomes high school students from across the state to campus over the next two weeks for this year’s Summer Academy sessions. Each camp is one-week in length.
During the academies, students stay in the OSSM residence hall and immerse themselves in challenging, hands-on classes designed to spark curiosity and build skills for future STEM studies.
Course offerings include:
ACT/SAT/PSAT Strategies and Review — Strengthen test-taking skills and boost college readiness.
Digital Electronics — Explore circuits and electronic components through engaging lab work.
Robotics Engineering and Programming — Design, build, and program robots to solve real-world problems.
Computer Science — Dive into coding fundamentals and problem-solving techniques.
Plant Genetic Engineering — Discover genetic modification and its applications in agriculture and science.
CSI: Past & Present — Learn about forensic science and investigative techniques, both historical and modern.
Students also participate in field trips and fun activities, allowing them to connect with peers who share their passion for science and mathematics.
Through these immersive experiences, OSSM’s Summer Academy empowers students to explore new fields, develop practical skills, and envision future careers in STEM.
