In January, James Higdon (Washington) took on the MIT Reality Hack, a prestigious virtual reality hackathon held on the MIT campus. Collaborating with four teammates—whom he had never met before—James spent 2.5 days developing a groundbreaking prototype that delivers both hot and cold haptic feedback in virtual reality.
As project manager, James ensured smooth workflow and timely progress while also serving as the team’s spokesperson, pitching their innovation to judges in both the initial and finalist rounds. Their project, “Temp Sense,” placed 3rd out of 90 teams—the highest-ranking project incorporating custom hardware.
Congratulations to James and his team for this incredible achievement!
