OSSM students earned several awards at the statewide HOSA competition. An international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE, HOSA promotes career opportunities in the health care industry and seeks to enhance delivery of quality health care. During the three-day event held in Norman, Okla., Pooja V. won fourth place in Epidemiology; Jeanette H. earned second place in Medical Law and Ethics; Nivedita J. came in fourth for Prepared Speaking; and Cindy L. took second place for Medical Math.
