The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) was created through legislative action in 1983 and graduated its first class of 44 students from across the state in 1992. It has graduated more than 1900 students since then. More than one-half of them are still involved in completing their educational and professional training.
The following data is descriptive of those who have been out of OSSM long enough to complete at least one degree:
More than half who have graduated from OSSM are now in the work force in Oklahoma.
Many OSSM graduates own their own businesses in Oklahoma.
300 are practicing engineers.
114 Hold a Medical Degree.
More than half of OSSM graduates hold a Ph.D.
34 Hold a Juris Degree.
