Jonathan Triplett joins OSSM as the new director of the Residence Hall. In his position, Triplett will oversee and manage the 120 high school juniors and seniors who reside in the school’s onsite dormitories as well as manage all aspects of the Residence Hall operations, including staffing, student relations and other related activities.   

Triplett comes to OSSM after serving most recently as the founder and executive director of First Class Individuals, a non-profit organization he founded in 2012 that specializes in life skills development and motivational speaking. His experience also includes serving as the assistant boys’ basketball coach at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Okla. and director of residence life at the University of Guam in Mangilao, Guam, for three years. In Oklahoma, he also worked as director of student activities at the University of Tulsa. At Oklahoma City University (OCU), he served as assistant dean of students and director of residence life for 10 years. 

“Jonathan brings a wealth of experience in student life,” said OSSM President Frank Wang, Ph.D. “His steady hand of leadership will help our students navigate both OSSM’s college-level curriculum and residential life.” 

Triplett earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from OCU. Prior to attending OCU, he was a professional basketball player in Calais France and Buenos Aires, Argentina for six years. He also played professionally in Turkey, Taiwan and China.
