Eight OSSM Seniors Named 2026 Academic All-State by Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence

Eight seniors from the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) have been selected as 2026 Academic All-State honorees by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, a prestigious statewide recognition awarded to only a select group of graduating public high school seniors each year in acknowledgment of outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

The 2026 OSSM Academic All-State honorees are: Melody Chen (Norman), Christina Dang (Yukon), Karen Forteh (Stillwater), Julianne Hoang (Oklahoma City), Eesha Katta (Lawton), Eunice Kim (Stillwater), Bishal Lamichhane (Tulsa), and Edward Nguyen (Oklahoma City).

“This designation reflects the remarkable dedication, intellectual curiosity, and hard work these students have demonstrated throughout their academic careers,” said OSSM President Tony Cornforth. “We applaud their achievement and look forward to their continued contributions in college and beyond.”

The Academic All-State Award includes a cash prize, honor cord, and medallion for each recipient. The independent selection process evaluates students’ standardized test scores, rigorous coursework, leadership, community service, and personal essays.
