On Wednesday, April 28, a group of OSSM students visited the local Ronald McDonald House to tour the facility and to provide them with about $800 they raised for the charity. This amount is the largest donation by a group the organization has received to date.

Led by Bogan Garcia, a senior at OSSM, a group of students wanted to show  that even in trying times the opportunity exists to manifest positive change in  the world.

“Many people have had to cope with the struggles of the past year,  and we wanted to work with an organization that keeps families  together when they are most in need,” said Bogan. “Ronald McDonald Charity House does great work, providing in-hospital room and board to sick children and  their families at no cost to them.”

The participating students sold paper hearts to other OSSM students, faculty and staff for $1 each. Those who purchased the hearts then wrote notes to the RMCH families on the hearts to encourage and support them.
