Dr. Brian Chance

Dr. Brian Chance earned his B.A. in English, German Studies, and Philosophy from Middle Tennessee State University. In 2001 he traveled to Germany as a Fulbright Fellow to study German literature and philosophy at the Free University and Humboldt University in Berlin. He returned to the U.S. in 2002 and began work on his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania, which he completed in 2009. He has taught at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Oklahoma, University of Tennessee, and University of Central Oklahoma; presented his research at numerous international conferences; and published articles in
many peer-reviewed journals and collected volumes. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, yoga, board games, and trying to maintain his admittedly modest skills as a pianist and fiddler.
