International Olympiad for Informatics (Computer Science Olympiad)
Keldon Jones (Weatherford, OK - Class of 1996) was one of four members of the United States delegation to the 1996 International Olympiad in Informatics in Hungary. Keldon returned in July with a bronze medal!
Hal Burch (Ponca City, OK - Class of 1993) earned a silver medal in the 1993 International Olympiad for Informatics (Argentina). Hal also was a member of the 1993 Physics Olympiad delegation and currently serves as a coach for the US IOI teams.
SuperQuest
In 1994, an OSSM team of four students was one of eight national winners for their supercomputer research of viscous fingering. For their efforts, OSSM was awarded a Digital workstation, unlimited supercomputer access and free Internet access for one year.
American Computer Science League
OSSM has twice finished in the top ten nationally in the general competition and finished fifth in the 1995 All-Star Contest in Houston.
