Young Mathematicians
More than 240 sixth through eighth graders from 90
schools statewide, many accompanied by teachers and family
members, attended the OSSM Middle School Math: An Awesome
Contest sponsored and hosted by the school. All math
participants received certificates of achievement and top
scorers were awarded trophies (purchased by the Foundation) in several divisions according to
school size. Guests were treated to lunch by the donors of the
Foundation and also toured the campus with student volunteers.

More than
30 legislators, as well as several state officials, including
Lt. Gov. Jari Askins, and Secretary of State Susan Savage, and
other guests, attended the annual OSSM Legislative Breakfast
held at the Great Hall in the Dan Little dormitory on February
12. Breakfast funded by a donor of the OSSM Foundation.
